Round 2 of the Australian supercross series in Toowoomba brought both riders and spectators one of the best supercross tracks seen in an Australian series.
As the night program kicked off Geran Stapleton was in Heat 1 which resulted in a DNF due to a small crash in a turn and been nailed by another rider in the back. This put him through to the LCQ where Geran battered and bruised managed to wholeshot and win putting him through to the main event.
Stapleton started the main event from an outside gate getting a decent start but only to be pushed wide, this is where the hard work began.. picking off a couple of riders each lap and by the time half way came along he had already managed to grab a hold of 3rd! Tim Vare quotes, "When I held out the P3 pit boared, Geran double looked as if he was in disbelief haha". Geran continued to lay down good laps and brought home podium 3rd where the champagne showers commenced, and we hope there are many more to come for the Victorian privateer.
